Window Display, This Morning, In Cold

Back of Envelope sent to Marie T. Stilkind

Circa 1960s (Color saturated a bit and image sharpened for effect), just recently really "seen" though I have been looking at the envelope for months. Another example of Ray's play spirit popping up, making sure I have appreciated this little joy/joke before the show starts...)

Messing with Ray Messing with Elvis

You can scroll down to see the original Ray piece, Oedipus (Elvis # 1). It's one of his most known works in part due to the early Pop urges. Ray was making Warhol-esque moves before Warhol. But, for me, it's the glyphs pouring from Elvis' mouth that make it so cool. My goal here was to alter the Ray image in the same manner that Ray altered the Evlis photo. Look closely for the Seagram's "7" --Sebastian
